But this new NBC series takes its title literally, as a mysterious and unidentified "event" threatens to irreversibly influence the future of mankind. Described by some as "24" meets "Lost," "The Event" features a talented lineup of actors including Jason Ritter ("Parenthood"), Blair Underwood ("Madea's Family Reunion") and Zeljko Ivanek ("Oz"). "The Event" occurs on Monday, September 20 at 9:00 / 8:00 PM central.

If you haven't seen the original "Hawaii Five-O," you at least know the theme song. Everybody knows the theme song. A reboot of the classic television series that ran from the late 1960s to the early '80s, "Hawaii Five-O" focuses on a quartet of Hawaii's finest police officers, played by Alex O'Loughlin ("Moonlight"), Scott Caan , and Grace Park . The first episode of the CBS series premieres on Monday, September 20 at 10:00 / 9:00 PM central.
